Michael Mackrodt, Gauthier Rouger – now nicknamed “amigo de la bufanda” – and myself are back from a filming trip in Southern Spain. We traveled around Alicante, Elche and Murcia with our friends Basile and Jason from 242 Skateboards. We also hooked up with Carri, a skater and photographer from Elche, who showed us spots around. They were crazy storms in Spain, the wind was blasting at 200 km/h at some places. It was really sketchy but we still got to skate every day and eventually got the job done.
Below is a little edit with some leftovers. The better footage goes in “Travel Well”. Play this video full screen– by clicking the small icon in the Vimeo player – it’s HD 720p. You can also download it as a quicktime file on the Vimeo page, that’s pretty sweet.
Last June we got invited to participate to the Battle of Normandy, an invitational team event hosted by Bud skateshop and Soma. It is basically four teams hitting the road across Normandy – Northern France – to try to get the most of this region. We had four days to film (and shoot photos) and one night to edit a video to show at the last night party. Because I wanted to keep some footage for the promo, the teaser for Travel Well, the Battle video never got released to the public. We are happy to finally share it with you and yes, I kept some goodies for the full length video. Many thanks to everybody we met in Normandy!
Element Europe is proud to release the first teaser for “Travel Well,” a full-length video coming Fall 2009. The teaser introduces Madars Apse and Phil Zwijsen and features the rest of the Element Europe team including full parts from Pirkka Pollari and Michael Mackrodt.
