BUCKY FINISHES THIRD IN SKATE VERT FINALS AT DEW TOUR SALT LAKE CITY!

Bucky was among the last three riders to go in the skate vert superfinals alongside Shaun White and PLG. But it came down to the last runs to decide the podium order. Bucky skated great going into the 10-man finals but his board got away from him a few times during the 5-man finals finishing third with an 87.75. Bucky remains in 2nd place overall in Skate Vert for the 2011 series.

Bucky Lasek is a legend within skateboarding, who’s done it all… From his main-stream wins to underground video parts, Bucky is undeniable force that has helped shape where skateboarding is today, and these accolades haven’t gone unnoticed… ESPN has an article, “House Check: Bucky Lasek” which gives us an inside look at the house that Bucky built, including exotic cars, organic eggs, and of course, his private bowl, all of which are absolutely incredible, and well deserved.

HEAVY MEDAL – ELEMENT WINS BIG AT X-GAMES 17

X Games 17 came and went over the weekend, and Element team riders, Nyjah Huston, Bucky Lasek, and Julian Christianson left the building rocking a vast collection of precious medals.

First and foremost, sixteen-year-old, Nyjah Huston won X Games gold in Skateboard Street finals with his all-out assault on the street course. Between the hardflip off the roof, a 360-flip lipslide down the big rail, to the kickflip backside tailslide to bigspin out on the 6-stair, jaws were dropped, minds were blown, and the godfather of skateboarding had this to say…

“That is by far the best (skateboarding) we’ve seen here this weekend.” – Tony Hawk

With those kind of accolades and that bag of tricks, it’s no wonder Nyjah rolled away with the gold medal. Check out his winning run below.

Nyjah’s big win isn’t the only news to come out of this year’s X Games, as the competition rolled on. Bucky Lasek brought down the house with his bronze medal winning run in Skateboard Vert. Here’s Bucky’s 3rd place run.

Last but not least, Julian Christianson took the gold medal for his perfect run at the Hometown Heroes event. And if you’ve been living under a rock, and don’t know who Julian is, he won the 2011 Make It Count contest finals at Skate Camp, and with that came Element sponsorship… Keep your eyes peeled, as this kid’s on a tear. X GAMES STREET COURSE PICS AND SCHEDULE

This year’s X Games street course looks to be the best yet. Designed to resemble DIY and back-alley street spots, it’s sure to result in some creative lines.

Scope the X Games TV and live video schedule for viewing times. Bucky on vert and Nyjah on the street. Don’t sleep on this one.
